Our small preschool

A small preschool where you know the teachers — and they know your child.

Our preschool is intentionally small, so relationships come first: between teachers and children, and between teachers and families. That close connection is how we support each child’s learning and continued success.

Close relationships with families

A small school means the people caring for your child get to know your whole family.

Daily time to connect with teachers

Parents get opportunities every day to check in with their child’s teachers.

Parents are part of it

Parent involvement is encouraged, because communication between home and school supports each child’s growth.

It’s small on purpose

A small preschool means teachers get to know each child — and each family — well.

You can talk to teachers every day

Families have daily opportunities to connect with the teachers who spend the day with their child.

Parents are part of the picture

Parent involvement is encouraged, not just allowed. You’re a partner in your child’s early education.

One school from infancy on

Programs run from infants through school-age, so families can stay with the teachers they already know.

Questions

Before you visit.

Anything not answered here, we'll walk through with you on the tour.

Should I bring my child?

You're welcome to. Plenty of parents come alone the first time and bring their child back for a second visit — either way works.

Which classroom would my child be in?

We offer an Infant Program (ages 6 weeks–12 months), a Toddler Program (13–36 months), Preschool & Pre-K (36–60 months), Before & After Care (ages 5–12 years) and Summer Camp (ages 5–13 years). On the tour you'll see the room your child would actually join.

How does the free week of tuition work?

New enrollments receive one free week of tuition. {{ OFFER_TERMS }}

What are your hours?

Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–6:00 PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday. If your work schedule is unusual, bring it up on the tour and we'll talk through what fits.

Can we talk about tuition and openings on the tour?

Yes, and that's the point of visiting. Rates and availability depend on your child's age and schedule, so we go through your family's actual days rather than a number on a page.

How do teachers and families stay in touch?

Communication between teachers and families is central to how Above and Beyond works. Parents have daily opportunities to connect with their child’s teachers, and family involvement is encouraged.

My child has an allergy or a specific need.

Bring the details with you. We'll talk through what's involved and be straight with you about what we can and can't support.

When and where do I show up?

Choose a tour time on the booking page. Tours are held at 10 Songsmith Dr, Newark, DE 19702.
